Ten Things

Okay, okay, I'm giving in. Fran and Alissa were inspirational, Katrina asked me in a comment. Apparently ask me to do something, and I'll do it the very next day.

1.  I'd be perfectly content having wine and popcorn for dinner every night after work. Without other dinner. It's only half of why I love the show Scandal and dream of being Olivia Pope as much as I do.

2.  I have music on all day long, wherever I am. We have Sonos speakers at home, which allow us to preset music preferences and timing. It's been highly engineered and I can go on and on about the amazingness of it, but I won't. Because I'm sure you don't care.

3.  Right now, celery is my favorite vegetable. Before that it was rainbow chard (it is just so pretty!). I love vegetables and have a really hard time when I'm traveling for work because I hate not including them in a meal, so I eat lots of salads, even though I don't love salads.

4.  I've had LASIK, and it is the best ever. I got contacts when I was in 7th grade, and two different boys asked me if I was new the first day without my glasses. Apparently it was a huge improvement.

5.  My favorite Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream is super hard to find and I have only one local store where I can find it. They know me only as the girl who buys Bonaroo/Coffee Caramel Buzz.

6.  When I got my first "professional job" I got rid of all of my skimpy going-out tops. There have been a few occasions where I've really wanted to dress more sexy, but I feel too frumpy and old to even look at a backless top, let alone take it to the register to pay.

7.  I have five tattoos. Only a couple have made their way onto the blog, and most are never seen outside of when I'm in a bikini. I think about getting more every day, but haven't gotten a new one since 2009.

8.  Travis is studying to become a winemaker and I dream of someday running a premiere wedding and event space, or high-quality inn, that is attached to his award-winning winery. Every single finger & toe I have crosses with its neighbor for good luck whenever I think about it.

9.  I studied abroad in Buenos Aires in college, and was accepted to the Peace Corps to work in rural small business in Paraguay after college. I turned down the Peace Corps offer but still hope to someday help small business owners in rural South America. Someday.

10. Travis promised me we could get a dog after the wedding, and now that the wedding is over, he has convinced me we don't have the right lifestyle for a dog. He's right, but I still get really mad and sad every time I think about it.
