Final Sale & TTT Theme Announcement

I have to admit, I'm a terrible sale shopper. Online, I do great. But in person? I often have a hard time digging through the chaos that is a sale area. The items are packed in super tight, the sizes are all rearranged, some items are in poor condition. Can anyone tell I'm a Nordstrom shopper? I love my clothes to be nicely arranged, on racks with excess space, in an order that begs me to reach in casually and grab my style.

But the other day I walked into LOFT, and I saw a final sale rack that wasn't down in the dungeon with the rest of the sale items. It was upstairs, and very few items remained. And this sweater was one of the items. At $4.98, I had to try it. So I grabbed it, headed to the dressing room, and decided that while the fit wasn't 100% perfect, it was an item I'd been looking for: a loose turtleneck, in a neutral color (I'm obsessed with oatmeal lately), and not too tight, but not too oversized. This worked. And at $5, even if I only wear it a couple of times, it's worth it.

I wore it for the first time last week while traveling for work. It was Friday, I had mostly partner meetings instead of customer meetings, so I felt like I could risk a more casual outfit. It was the first time my travel partner had seen me in jeans - crazy, huh? But with the boots, and the nice material of the sweater, I was equally appropriately dressed for my meetings and my flight.

Sweater: LOFT (chevron version, original still available this week in stores)

I should mention - this month's Third Thursday Threads theme is: favorite sale purchase. So pick an item, throw it in an outfit, and be ready to blog it on Thursday, March 19. And if you're so inclined, leave me a few tips for sale shopping, because this girl hates missing out on all of the amazing deals she sees you getting!
