Guest Post: Sweet Bananie

I'm currently traveling through Africa on my honeymoon, but I've lined up a handful of guest posts from my favorite blogs while I'm gone. Enjoy!

I've been reading Annie's blog for just a few months, but I've already gotten so much inspiration from her. She's in the middle of a great sweater series on the blog right now which is just perfect for the cold weather lately.

You can follow Sweet Bananie on pinterestinstagram, and of course on bloglovin.

Hi there, my name's Annie and I blog over at Sweet Bananie, where I post my outfits pretty often, and occasionally pictures of my sweet English Bulldogs. I'm excited to share this print-mixed look with you while Bri is getting married/honeymooning/traveling/on safari - hope you'll stop by my blog and "ooh" and "aah" over my pups, or maybe even get some style inspiration. But let's be real, the wrinkled pups are where it's at.The inspiration for this outfit came from somewhere on the internets: InstagramPinterest, or Bloglovin, maybe. I can’t quite remember. But I do remember that I really really liked it and couldn’t wait to try it out. So, I recreated it with a striped ¾ sleeve top and dark plaid scarf. Skinny jeans were the best option for my bottom half, as were my new black boots from Aéropostale.

The stripes on this shirt can lean towards black or navy, depending on what I wear it with, so on this day I told them to “Look like navy, instead of black, because this scarf is navy, and you need to play nicely together.” And they did! I used to be so against black and navy together, but now, I sometimes wear them together, on purpose! Like in this outfit – navy stripes and plaid up top, dark wash skinnies in the middle, and black boots. Look at me, breaking rules and mixing colors and prints. Like a boss.
