I'm a big fan of contrast. Big bright colors with muted neutrals. Flashy jewelry with one of Travis's sweaters. A flowy skirt with a structured button-down, tights, and menswear-inspired shoes.

When Travis got me this shirt for Christmas last year, I was surprised to learn that it was from the mens section of Urban Outfitters. He had looked all over for the "lumberjack plaid" I had put on my wish list and the best option he found was this one - and so he got it in Mens XS. At first I was worried that the shape wouldn't work for me, but I ended up LOVING the fit and have since bought a few more things from the men's section. Next goal: follow Katrina's lead and try to shop in the kids section too!

Anyway - because this is a menswear shirt (literally) and a fairly masculine pattern, I loved pairing it this time around with my favorite necklace EVER and a big knit scarf. It was too cold to not have a scarf on for most of the day, but I made sure to take it off a few times to show off the gold+pearl gorgeousness around my neck.
