Christmas Tree Farm

One of my favorite things about Travis is that he loves to go out to the farms to get his own pumpkins and Christmas trees. This wasn't something I grew up doing with my family, so it truly feels like a new tradition that we can carry on year after year as we become a family. This year we went back to the same farm as last year (Farmer Brown's, for those of you who are local) to cut down a tree. See last year's pics here. It was only 22 degrees here in Seattle, so I definitely dressed more for warmth than fashion (I also had a long-sleeved thermal under the plaid), but I did stop to take a few pictures before we headed out.

This is typically what I look like on weekends in winter - last night's makeup and hair covered up by a beanie, jeans, boots, and something that feels cozy and comfortable on top. Probably one of my favorite things about this sweater is how thick and cozy it is - I highly recommend picking up an open shawl cardigan like this in a thick material, because it is SO versatile!
