I never ever write about weight loss on the blog. But there's a first time for everything, right? As you know, I travel a ton for work. And it is super hard to stay healthy - I'm surrounded by unhealthy food, unhealthy schedules, and no repetition, which makes it really hard to keep up a routine. Now that my travel season is winding down, I wanted to give myself a little push to get back in shape

4 weeks ago a friend invited me to a diet bet on DietBetter.com. Here's how it works: 
 - You join and pay an entry fee, which is determined by the host. Ours was $25.
 - You have 4 weeks to lose 4% of your body weight. You weigh in on day 1, and you weigh out on day 28. No one in the competition sees your weight. 
 - The pot is divided between the people who reach their 4% goal. 

So I joined. And I paid $25. And I was cheered on by the other participants, who I in turn cheered on as well. And it was fun. And I lost weight. And at the end of it, I made some money. Win.Win.

Anyway, I decided to start my own this month, because I loved the social aspect - the motivation, the cheering, the daily little reminders from my friends who were getting really into it. 

It starts on Friday and has a $25 buy-in. So far the pot is at $250. I'd LOVE to see it get higher, so I thought I'd invite all of you. Wanna join? Do so here. Once you join, you can invite your friends - the more, the merrier!
