Denver Day 1

This past weekend was spent in Denver with my cousin Koren and her family, and my college bestie Kendra. Some of you may remember that I went to Denver last weekend to meet baby Max and take him to the pumpkin patch for his VERY FIRST TIME. Well after how much fun we had, I decided to make it an annual trip. And then, just a few months ago, Kendra moved to Denver, solidifying my desire to ensure I made the visit in October, her birthday month. Travis came along and we had just the best weekend. Here's a little recap:

Friday morning was spent babysitting this guy while Koren went into work. His name's Max and he's the best kid ever. We played with some tupperware (the best entertainment for kiddos), went for a walk through downtown Denver, and just enjoyed the sunny, chilly weather.

When Koren came back from work, Travis and I headed over to Kendra's place. From there, we headed up to Red Rocks, which was really beautiful. I thought it was great that you felt like you were out in the middle of nowhere, but could still see the city in the distance.

Once we were done at Red Rocks, it was time for Kendra to get ready for her Halloween party. She let me do her hair and makeup, and I just have to share a pic with you guys (sorry Ken!). I made her some cat ears by braiding her hair and using bobby pins to create a bend, and I used a LOT of black eye liner for everything else. I didn't capture a great up-close of the eyelids, but I used black, brown, and gray eye liners to create a leopard print. Overall, I was pretty impressed with how it turned out.

Make sure you come back tomorrow for part two of our Denver weekend!
