BIF Closet Swap

I’m sure you haven't noticed, but since Fran was in town (miss you!!), I’ve found a new love for this blog. Despite my work life getting crazier (update coming soon), I’ve been making time each night to put together a blog post for the following day. I’ve even put together a pseudo-Editorial Calendar to keep me organized, which I’ll be sharing with you in October as part of my “Back to School Blogging” mini-series (update coming soon).

As part of this rediscovered love for blogging I wanted to create a couple of new features that would keep me excited and challenged on the blogging front. One of these new features is the brainchild of some late-night texting with my BIF (that’s Best Internet Friend for you who don’t know) Fran – each month, we are going to mail each other one item from our closet to be restyled, and we’ll be featuring the outcome here on the blog. I’m excited about this for a few reasons:
1. I love Fran's closet. Seriously everything in it. I can't wait to get my hands on some of it, even if just for a week.
2. I'm trying to cut back on shopping. Borrowed items will feel new, and seeing how Fran styles my pieces will give me new ways to wear them.
3. Snail mail is one of my absolute favorite things. I know watching that mailbox for a package from Fran will have me on the edge of my seat, and preparing a fun (hopefully creatively cute) package for her each month will be a blast.

We hope you enjoy this series as much as we do. With all that said, here’s how I styled the necklace Fran sent me. See how she’s worn it here. I may or may not be wearing it backwards. :) Come back next week to see how it looks when worn the other way around!
