Guest Post: brynnash

I've been reading Brynn's blog for a while now and am super excited to have her here guest posting about her summer packing wish list.

Hello, everyone!  My name is Brynn, and I blog over at brynnash!  I'm so excited to be guest posting for Bri while she's off enjoying Alaska with her man!  Since I'm working a ton this summer and taking a full-credit load of graduate classes, I, unfortunately, will not be taking any vacations this summer (this is how I feel about that).  So, instead, I'm playing pretend!

Every summer growing up, my family and my grandma would drive up to Duluth, MN, a lovely port city on the shore of Lake Superior, for the weekend.  Eventually, the trip has grown to include my mom's siblings and their kids: 14 of us in all, spending a weekend at the lake.  If I had been able to go with them this summer, this is what I would have packed.

Beautiful Duluth, MN!

One of my favorite things to do in Duluth is to spend a day at Park Point, a gorgeous beach with soft sand, clean water, and beautiful scenery.

I absolutely love spending a day there - lounging on the beach with my cousins, a good book, and a cold drink.  I'm really into these cute retro-inspired swimsuits - they are so pretty, and I think they tend to be so flattering on curvier bodies!

Another thing I love to do in Duluth is to spend time at Canal Park, which is where my family usually stays.  We love to walk the boardwalk, eat at the delicious restaurants, listen to live music and walk through one of the many art fairs going on, take a boat tour of the harbor, visit all the cute little shops, and watch the huge ships come in through the iconic Aerial Lift Bridge.  I like to be comfortable but cute, and it's smart to dress in layers or with a crocheted top like the one pictured here, as the breeze coming off Lake Superior can be chilly!

Another thing that is super fun to do in Duluth is to go to Spirit Mountain Adventure Park, a super fun place where you can zipline, go on an alpine coaster, play mini golf, and more!  It is so much fun there, and you get a stunning view of the city and the lake from the top of the mountain.  You definitely want to be dressed for a little bit of an adventure when you go to Spirit Mountain - no dresses or heels allowed :)

There you have it - how I would dress for a weekend away in beautiful Duluth, MN!  Thanks for reading!
