It's a Skirt from the 90s Kind of Day

I was going to post my budget today, but when I made that promise I wasn't thinking about the fact that my entire Tuesday night went to a haircut and packing for my upcoming trip. So instead, you get an outfit.

I'm headed out this afternoon to Chicago (please stop snowing so my plane can get there successfully) and then flying from there to New Orleans on Saturday before returning back home on Thursday. I'm not 100% sure, but I think this is the first time I'll be spending a birthday out of town and all alone. Cue sad pity party music now. Although I will say, I'm pretty excited to finally have work take me to a town I haven't been to before—any recommendations for New Orleans?

I've have a handful of posts ready so I shouldn't be too MIA...but as those of you who travel for work know...anything could come up and totally derail my plans. :)

Anyway, here's an outfit. It contains a Bongo skirt from the 90s that I found in my parents attic. I think it was my mom's, but it could have been mine, maybe, since I was basically this same size when I was 12. I got a surprising amount of compliments on it...I guess the 80s and 90s really are trendy again! Update: My mom just texted me: "That was my bongo skirt from the 80's - my favorite go out and dance skirt!"

Blurry, really? I swear it wasn't on the camera!
Had to include it though to show the necklace I ended up wearing.
Skirt: BONGO (can't find anything similar right now!), Tank: Target,
Tights: HUE (similar), Cardigan: J.Crew Factory
I've got a few outfits coming up I'm pretty excited about — check back soon!
Also, I'll be doing another giveaway in March for my birthday, so make sure you become a follower so you don't miss out!
