It's a Very Thankful 200th Post Kind of Day

Wow. It is 4:30 am Seattle time and I am sitting at my gate at Seatac airport ready to head out on my final work trip of the year (thank goodness!). I keep re-writing this post, deleting most of what I've written and starting from scratch. You see, this is my 200th post. And I feel like it must be something big, something substantial, something worthy of another hundred-post milestone. But instead I'm exhausted. It is 4:30 am and I've already been up for an hour. But anyway, here goes.

This blog started in January with a very different purpose (adventures in how things have changed!), and I'm most thankful that it has become a place that is home to a community of "blog friends". I'm not going to list them all here, but please check out Well Read for some of the blogs I read most often.

I'm at a huge lack for words this morning and probably should have kept the original post I wrote. But to show you how thankful I am for your regular visits and comments and inspiration, here's an unedited photo the boyfriend (rudely) took of me sleeping last Thursday after having LASIK. You're welcome.

But seriously. Thank you for coming to this place of mine and leaving your kind words. On the worst of days, this blog has become such a happy place for me. I'm so excited to see what the next 200 bring.

Oh, and on a less happy note, in the next few weeks, this blog will lose something that has been a foundational element: my amazing photographer, Ash. She's headed off on an adventure that I'm insanely jealous of...a few months traveling the world, starting off in just a couple of weeks in Thailand. She'll have a blog that I will definitely share with you at some point. But that means I have to change the way in which I do this thing I do (almost) every day. Guess it's time to buy a tri-pod and remote and plan more than a day ahead...
