Our house has no bricks! And never will again. The bricks were one of the first things I fell in love with about this house (because I hate the paint color...!) and I'm a bit sad to see them go. Luckily I'm pretty excited about getting to pick a new all-over paint color for the house, plus trim, plus a fun front door color, so that's keeping me from being too sad. Doesn't it look weird with all of the exposed hundred-year-old wood?
So many things. Check out this month's budget recap for a full debrief. I also purchased an Arlo security camera system for the house. I've been wanting one for a while, but what FINALLY pushed me over the edge was the idea of mounting one where it can see the house progress so I can build a time-lapse at the end. So excited for that!
Just got in my newest sunnies from DITTO for my Mexico trip. Love the shape of these from Jason Wu - definitely going to get a lot of use out of them in the next week! If you want to try DITTO out with your first month free, use code BMARIE35. Sunshine season is here :)
We wrapped up Whole30 on Friday (!!!!!). Because I had a great quarter at work, we celebrated with a glass of champagne and some rice alongside our chicken and salad for dinner on Friday. Big splurge, right? Saturday we stayed mostly on-plan, although we did add some cheese to our bunless burgers and I drank a cider instead of the standard La Croix that had been my dinner companion. Can't wait to consume all the delicious things in Mexico this week!

This week we're headed to Mexico for a little R&R - and to celebrate my dad's 60th birthday! He lives the life of a 70-year old (retired non-stop traveling golfer) but with the youthfulness of a 45-year old (he's in better shape than I am, for sure). I'm so impressed by him and can't wait to ring in this big birthday alongside him!
