We still haven't started the remodel, but we're making progress. We will be signing on our loan next weekend, and we have permits approved from the city. We've decided we want to dig our garage back out, so we've got to make a small permit request for that, and then we can get started. Things are about to get crazy around here! For those of you who have done remodels, any recommendations? We're starting to look at inspiration for a new bed, closet layouts, and bathroom finishings.
Some vacation-ready pieces, like this bikini top (similar here) for Mexico in April and these boots (women's here) for Travis for Canada in March. I'm still on the hunt for the perfect turtleneck sweater for myself, but I can't seem to find one I love (this one was AWFUL). I'm thinking of ordering this one, this one, and this one if I can find it in store since its final sale online. Any other recommendations?
Beachwear galore on our trip to Costa Rica! I'll be posting a packing list post this week, so stick around to see how I wore everything on the trip! In the meantime, check out my first post with what we wore on Valentine's Day.
Lots of salsa Lizano, Costa Rica's favorite sauce. I'll share the recipe for the breakfast we ate daily, as it is a new favorite. Also, I read four books on the trip, pushing me way past my goal for February. I'll do a recap of which books I read at the end of the month. On the plane ride home, I started The Widow, which I'm loving. Oh! And if you're a goodreads user, I'm trying to be better about it, so follow along if you'd like!

I don't know about you guys, but my husband is nothing like the Instagram Husband. He hates taking pictures for me, hates being in pictures, doesn't maintain an online presence of any kind, and isn't very supportive of mine. And it drives me bonkers sometimes. But then sometimes, out of the blue, he'll be totally willing to help, and he'll wait around taking 30 pictures of the same thing until we get the perfect shot. And I realize that his disdain for these things helps me stay balanced. It may not let me grow the blog in the ways I think I want, but it does keep me in the now, and for that I am so grateful!
