I went to go visit my sister at work last week to drop off something while I was in town for some meetings. And she was wearing a dress I had recently gotten rid of during my closet clean out. But she had styled it in a way that I never had, which immediately made me notice the outfit, the dress, and dresses I have like it, in a whole different way. But what I loved the most about her outfit was that she told me this: "I was going to wear it with some loafers, but then I remembered that the Madewell Fall 2015 catalog had a similar outfit and she was wearing booties, so I thought I'd try that instead." And she was nice enough to let me snap a couple of pictures to share here. Thanks sissy!
I flip through catalogs still whenever I get them, so I knew exactly which image she was talking about. But it made me realize that I no longer bookmark the pages that I like. I no longer set aside outfit ideas in that way - I only use the computer. And the computer is NEVER around when I'm getting dressed in the morning. I decided then and there to make an effort to pull out pages I like and pin them up downstairs in my closet-room. It's time to go old school with some outfit inspiration!
Are you guys good about looking back at your pins? Do you still clip catalogs or mark outfits you like? How else do you remember the outfit inspiration you see for when you're actually getting dressed? I'd love to hear your tips in the comments!
Also - just a reminder: Thursday of this week is the Third Thursday Threads: PLAID link-up! Can't wait to see your awesome outfits!
