Dress For The Job You Want

As promised, another piece courtesy of Asos that has been helping me dress for the job I want. As I've moved into sales, I'm trying to keep my outfits professional while also making sure they are memorable - the customers and prospects I meet with see vendors at least weekly, and I want to know that I stand out - but in a good way. I've been doing that through more bold colors and current cuts/styles, which this top was absolutely perfect for:

Asos put together a video about dressing for interviews - and while the outfit she shows I absolutely wouldn't wear to a real interview in my field, the points she makes are totally valid. I'd be in a suit of some sort - likely a skirt and jacket - but I ABSOLUTELY would pick a bold color top and shoes, and a fun clutch. It is so important to dress in a way that is memorable (again, I wouldn't wear the cupcake print...) when you know that you are one of many candidates up for a job.

What are your favorite ways to stand out and be memorable in an interview or special event? Do you have any tips or tricks you can share?
