Happy Sunday! I can't believe this series is already on volume 31. Over half a year, but I feel like every time I write this post I still have to use my template to remember which order the categories go in. Life has just been flying by in a way that I'm struggling to keep up with. Thanks for reading and commenting and interacting with me, even with fewer posts from me. I truly appreciate it.

The rains have started. And with a dog, that means I'm out in it a lot. Luckily, I kind of love it. But I will be grabbing rain coats in the future instead of uniqlo puffer coats - this is a photo taken after sprinting home from the dog park after the sky decided to open...
I'm on the hunt for a new bikini for Hawaii (less than 2 weeks away!) and am really struggling. I don't want high-waisted bikini bottoms, but I also don't want the tiniest of string bottoms. Any favorite brands? I'm thinking I'll end up doing a big Zappos order and then sending back what doesn't work!
An outfit for meetings in Portland - and bangs that are finally long enough to reach a top knot (with a little help from a bobby pin). Hallelujah! It's getting cold enough in Spokane and Boise and Anchorage that I'm going to have to start traveling with real shoes instead of feet-exposed-flats...maybe time to figure out how to wear loafers? With ankle pants? Who knows? Tips from you cold-weather-climate ladies would be greatly appreciated!
- A gorgeous desk DIY to get the best marbled top ever.
- I couldn't agree with this fall color palette selection more than I do. I'm pretty sure I want to add a mustard scarf to my wardrobe. ASAP.
- The texture created by the perforation in this top is my absolute favorite thing.
- I don't think I've shared it before, but every week I check out the Dress Your Tech series on DesignLoveFest and download my favorites. I have a wallpaper folder that cycles through different wallpapers every 30 minutes, and I love all of the variety thanks to years of DYT.

As I work on this post (currently: Saturday, 11:21 AM) my dear husband is outside in the POURING rain digging a trench all the way around our chicken coop so that he can bury some hardware cloth as a perimeter. You see...on Monday we came home and Gertie was dead. She'd been killed (by a rat we think) thanks to a hole that had been dug under the walls of the run. She'd tried to fight - we know this because the chicken wire was bent all out of shape - and her three bffs were huddled in their coop scared to come out. She was our best layer, and while we're sad about that, we know she can be replaced. But not until we reinforce the coop and run to protect them better. So my husband - he's out there working away getting drenched and dirty while I sit inside, listening to music played on our Sonos speakers in the living room while I work on a blog post. If that's not love, I don't know what is.
