Herringbone Vest, Three Ways

To be honest, when I started seeing this vest on EVERYONE, I didn't think it would be very versatile - and when I bought it, it was mainly to layer with plaid. But I've found so many other ways to wear it, and wanted to show you a few recent outfits where it really stole the show.

And now for the details of where I wore each outfit! Oh - and this exact vest is this one from J. Crew Factory.

1. With sneakers. This first outfit was my flying outfit for my weekend in Denver. It was comfortable, casual, and allowed me to stay warm on the cold flight without needing a lot of extra stuff. I also ended up tossing a black scarf in my carry on, so I had that as some extra backup warmth.

2. With pointy flats. I wore this outfit for a day trip to Portland. I ended up leaving the vest on for my meetings, as they were with current customers who I knew, but the outfit would have also worked without the vest for more professional meetings. I also wore a necklace like this with it, which isn't pictured because I hadn't put it on yet.

3. With booties. This was another Denver outfit; I wore it for our night out on Saturday where we had drinks and small bites at a few different restaurants. I loved that the vest was more of a jacket - I took it off when inside the bars - but it worked as a look when it was on, too.
