Happy Friday! I'm on cloud 9 right now thanks to all of you linking up yesterday at the first ever Third Thursday Threads link-party! I cannot wait to pick a theme for next month and see so many great outfits. I'm currently flying back to the US from London which is why I haven't gotten a chance to check out all of your blogs yet—but I promise to do so this weekend. Also, if you haven't linked up yet, it isn't too late! Submissions will be accepted all weekend and into early next week.
Now, this outfit. This is yet another San Fran purchase from earlier this month. I've been really wanting a bright colored lace pencil skirt, so when I found this one at Nordstrom, I couldn't resist. And I love the way it looks with the bright blue tank. I'm really excited to fallify* it for the office.
*Fallify terminology courtesy of one of my favorite bloggers, Laura at Twelve by Six.

I'm home for a couple of days and taking off Sunday for Orlando. I'm hoping to have blog posts as normal next week, including a couple of guest posts! If you're interested in guest posting over here at some point in the next month, shoot me an email :)
And, I promise it is the last time I'll ask, but head over to yesterday's post and link up if you haven't yet!

So many things to say! (1) Thanks for the fallify shout out :), (2) totally having fun checking out the other link ups from yesterday, so glad you started the new feature!, and (3, most importantly) you look smokin in that skirt, seriously! (soooooo tempted to buy it now)! One of the best looks I've seen from you, I absolutely love it! Looks great with the blue (and leopard flats, yay!) and I can't wait to see what else you pair with it! Have an awesome weekend, glad you're back from London! :)
ReplyDeleteI love everything you've got going on here... the texture of the lace, the print of the shoes, and the color mixing. :) You turned these pieces into a fun outfit. :)

What do you think about next month's theme?! Any ideas??? I'm going to have such a hard time deciding :)
ReplyDeleteSo tell me - with this length skirt, can I pull off booties? Or do I have to go heels or flats?? I'm in desperate need of a planning day in my closet to test out new outfits with all these great new clothes!!
Thanks so much!!! Any suggestions for transitioning it into the colder seasons greatly appreciated :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Nells!!! I miss you - we need to get together once this crazy travel ends!
ReplyDeleteI'd freeze! It is like 0 degrees here!! But thanks for loving it!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Kate!! Orange and blue done right can be really great together, I think!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, it's tough because there are so many great options! What about... menswear/tweed, or fall florals, or military (one of my faves), or scarves (in different ways than just around the neck maybe)? It might be early for this one, but I definitely think you should do "winter white" as a topic too, I love winter white! So many fun choices, I can't wait to see what you decide! :)
ReplyDeleteI totally think you can pull off booties with this skirt! Since it's kind of long (at/below your knee), I might stick to nude/tan booties if you can so it doesn't cut off your leg at the ankle, but definitely worth trying!
