Hey everyone! I have another little mani tutorial today—it isn't as creative as last time because I'm headed on a work trip and needed something that would be easy to touch up if it chipped. Here's what I did:

Started with Essie: A Crewed Interest—one of my favorite pale coral colors out there!

One coat, too thin, keep going!

Two coats, getting better!

Third coat—nice, solid base.

Then I grabbed my deep coral Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen—these pens are great for dots, stripes, and any other detail you want on a nail. I'm already regretting not using my blue and white pens to do a 4th of July look earlier this summer on top of a bright red base.

This week I simply drew a couple of lines on my ring fingers. I kept one thicker and one thinner, and I really like how it turned out. Followed with a top coat am hoping for no chipped nails this week at my tradeshow!
I think a couple of stripes on an accent finger is a great way to dress up a simple, professional mani. What do you think? How do you like to wear your nails in professional settings?
Cute tutorial, I really like that the nail accents are showing up all over the place! I don't have the patience to paint my nails... it's a shame.

Thanks so much!!! And thanks for the award - I'll have to do it once I'm home from traveling on this work trip :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute, I really like this one and it's simple enough to do without tons of extra materials (always a bonus). I'm so jealous that you have A Crewed Interest - I love love love this color, but all of the stores around me are terrible at keeping Essie in stock (especially new season's colors), so I have not been able to find it anywhere! Maybe it will be available by the middle of winter :P
ReplyDeleteOh bummer!! I picked it up a couple of months ago when it first came out so I haven't noticed if stores now have it or not around here. Definitely worth grabbing when you do find it though!!
